More Moments About Hebrews 13

Wendy Pope

In Hebrews 13:15 the writer tells the Hebrews to “continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips.” Just like fruit is sweet and pleasing to our taste, praise is sweet and pleasing to the Lord. Praising God is easy when life is full of joy and success. However, when life hands us rejection, praising God becomes harder.

It seems to take strength we don’t have to give. However, if we push through the pain, we tap into His power. Our sacrifice of praise will generate more strength to praise, which will generate more praise. It is a beautiful cycle!
