More Moments About Jeremiah 52
As Jeremiah 52 recounts the tragic consequences brought on by the sin of God's people and their unwillingness to repent and obey Him, it also validates the ministry of the prophet Jeremiah.
Almost every word of Jeremiah 52 points to a prophecy fulfilled. While Jeremiah desired for God's people to listen and turn from their wicked ways, his labor for the Lord was not in vain. He boldly spoke the words of the Lord and God caused all that He had said to come to pass.
When we don't see results from our work for the Lord, it can feel disappointing and even create doubt. But when we walk in faith and obedience to God, we can be sure our labor is not futile or wasted. 1 Corinthians 15:58 reminds us because we have victory through Jesus we can "… be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."
